There’s a drive-in movie place kind of near where we live and when I was younger, and we had like a 4wd kind of big car (a Honda crv if you want to be anal), we used to go there all the time and bring heaps of cushions and blankets and sit in the boot and watch a movie. Now, we don’t go there really at all - which sucks, mainly because we sold the car (my dad got a work car, so we didn’t need it).
I remember they used to have one screening of a movie at about 7-ish and then when that was finished there would be a second screening of a different movie for people who wanted to see them later. There was a two-movie deal thing, so straight after the first movie you watched the second one. And the first movie was Mr Magoriums Wonderful Emporium or something like that and the second movie was King Kong. Being about 9 or 10 years old, I found it so difficult to stay up for the second movie - it was 3 hours long and I was so damn scared. My sister fell asleep and I did too, but I woke up on the drive back home.
We were both still sleeping in the boot with the blankets and that was mental because YOU HAVE TO WEAR A SEATBELT AND BE IN A SEAT.
What a rebel life.
